Description

CoVolt Power is hiring a GPS Machine Control General Foreman to lead a crew supporting GPS-equipped pile drivers and pile installation on a utility-scale solar construction site. The role involves setting up, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Trimble Groundworks and related GPS systems; verifying pile plans, coordinates, orientations, and installation accuracy; coordinating with survey, quality, civil, and equipment teams; and providing minor repairs or GPS-component replacements. The position also supports GPS-equipped earthmoving equipment as needed and requires hands-on experience with GPS machine control, pile installation, and field crew leadership.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Previous General Foreman or Foreman experience in solar construction, pile installation, civil construction, or a related field
Hands-on experience supporting GPS-equipped pile drivers and troubleshooting machine positioning and installation guidance
Experience with Trimble GPS technology, including Groundworks for pile-driving applications
Knowledge of solar pile installation, including pile types, orientation, plumbness, embedment, and top elevation or reveal requirements
Ability to understand pile plans, design coordinates, site control, calibration files, and project tolerances
Ability to troubleshoot GPS equipment and identify common machine-control issues
Ability to perform minor repairs and replace GPS components when necessary
Experience overseeing field crews with strong leadership and communication skills
Utility-scale solar construction experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Trimble GPS technology, including Groundworks for pile-driving applications
Direct responsibility for GPS setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and operator support on solar pile drivers using Trimble Groundworks
Experience resolving pile orientation discrepancies, verifying machine accuracy against survey control, and supporting installation records
Experience supporting mass grading, roads, drainage, and other GPS-equipped earthmoving operations
