Description
The GPS Apprenticeship role is a high-school-based manufacturing apprenticeship focused on assembling products using work instructions, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment, and basic hand tools. The apprentice cross-trains across assembly areas, learns product and manufacturing processes, participates in team meetings, resolves problems with peer or supervisor assistance, and provides basic training to employees. The role requires repetitive assembly ability, attention to detail, teamwork, basic reading, writing, math, and safe manufacturing practices, with physical demands including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, and exposure to manufacturing conditions.
