Description
The City of Alabaster is hiring a full-time Grade IV Operator for Alabaster Water to safely and efficiently operate, monitor, maintain, and adjust water-treatment plant systems and equipment. The role includes process monitoring, sampling and testing, equipment inspections, SCADA and pump monitoring, regulatory compliance, calibration, recordkeeping, and emergency response. The position requires an active Alabama Grade IV Water Operator Certification, the ability to work the 7-on/7-off schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and availability for emergency assignments. The starting rate is $33.03 per hour, with medical insurance and other benefits provided.
