Old Dominion University is hiring three full-time Graduate Academic Advisors in Norfolk, Virginia. The role provides comprehensive academic advising to graduate students, supports timely degree completion, guides course selection and registration, resolves academic and administrative issues, monitors student progress, conducts outreach to students in academic difficulty, implements retention initiatives, maintains advising records, and participates in student success programming. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in higher education, counseling, or a related field, advising knowledge, strong interpersonal and written communication skills, technology comfort, and experience working with undergraduate and graduate students; prior academic advising, coaching, or related higher education student services experience is preferred.
