Description
Whitehaven is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for its two-year 2027 Graduate Program, which provides hands-on mining operations experience, structured development, mentoring, and rotations across Gunnedah and Narrabri, Blackwater and Moranbah, and corporate offices in Sydney, Newcastle, and Brisbane. The role supports geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring, field inspections, data collection, geological mapping, technical reporting, slope stability and groundwater analysis, and investigations into ground conditions, water management, and operational risk. Applicants need a degree in a relevant discipline, an interest in mining, strong communication and teamwork skills, a proactive learning attitude, and willingness to work in regional or site-based locations.
