SMU is hiring an on-campus, in-person Grant Management Specialist to support faculty and administrators with pre-award and award management for sponsored research projects. The role covers proposal development, budget and budget justification preparation, submission portal work, compliance with sponsor and federal requirements, award processing, progress reporting, carryforward, prior approval, and no-cost extension requests, while coordinating with sponsors, researchers, and other stakeholders. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and either three or five years of professional experience, depending on the stated pathway, with higher-education experience and CRA certification preferred.
