Description
The Program Assistant will support the "For Us Tree" grant in Harris County by planning and administering project activities, coordinating outreach and education, collecting data, capturing community feedback, supporting equitable youth engagement, and helping youth become community advocates. The role will create awareness of tree canopy, dead trees, invasive species, climate resilience, and green careers, work with grant partners, and require a high school diploma, experience with youth and volunteers, public speaking experience, and a bachelor's degree in education or horticulture. It is part-time at 20 hours per week maximum, paid $28.00 per hour, and scheduled to end in April 2029.
