Description
AECOM is seeking a Grid Connection Engineer to support the delivery of electrical design and grid connection services for utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The role covers power system studies, grid code compliance, connection prospecting and optioneering, risk and capacity assessments, cost and technical effort estimates, quality control, technical specifications, engineering budgets, and client and OEM liaison. Candidates need relevant engineering design, OEM, or utility network planning experience, knowledge of UK grid codes and renewable connection processes, proficiency with PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Python, and understanding of high-voltage control and protection systems.
