Description
The Maintenance and Operations Supervisor leads a crew of 8–13 staff in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and completing grounds maintenance for parks, athletic fields, turf, landscaping, irrigation, trails, and natural areas. The role supervises and trains staff, performs quality control and performance management, ensures regulatory compliance, conducts field and office work, and may respond to emergencies. It requires a high school diploma or GED, three years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, a Virginia Class A CDL, and several pesticide and fertilizer applicator licenses. The schedule is generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend requirements, and pays $35.80–$41.88 per hour.
