Description

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is hiring an entry-level Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain school district grounds at the Support Hub. Duties include planting, mowing, edging, weeding, watering, fertilizing, trimming and pruning lawns, shrubs, trees, and flowers; preparing and cultivating grounds; moving plants; spraying planted areas; using hand and power tools; making minor repairs to lawn equipment; and sweeping sidewalks. A high school diploma and a valid in-state driver's license are required, while no prior experience is required beyond a short demonstration. The position is nonexempt, scheduled for 260 days per year, and starts at $21.34 per hour.
