Description
Smith College’s Facilities Management department is hiring a grounds services employee to help maintain the health, aesthetics, and safety of the campus and athletic landscape. The role includes planting, fertilizing, watering, weeding, trimming, mowing, pesticide application, irrigation repair, snow removal, operating grounds equipment and college vehicles, and assisting with related construction and site work. Candidates need a high school or vocational diploma/GED (or equivalent experience), at least three years of related landscape construction/maintenance and turf management experience, and must hold or obtain required licenses including a CDL Class B, Massachusetts pesticide applicator license, and hoisting license.
