The Group Exercise Instructor at the Ann Arbor YMCA in Ypsilanti, MI, conducts safe and effective group exercise classes under the direction of the Director of Healthy Living. Responsibilities include planning and preparing classes, ensuring participant safety, communicating effectively, modifying exercises for individual needs, inspecting equipment, securing substitutes, utilizing equipment properly, maintaining certifications, acting professionally, setting up and cleaning facilities, and adhering to YMCA policies. The ideal candidate will have CPR/AED certification, a high school diploma, six months of related experience, and a group exercise or personal training certification.
