Equitable is hiring a Group Underwriter for its Group Underwriting team in Waterloo, Ontario. The role underwrites group benefits requests and existing case business, screens and assesses risk, sets final rates through experience rating, negotiates rates with account executives and advisors, handles special rate reviews, and supports the Group Underwriting Assistant. The position requires at least two to three years of group benefits experience, strong communication, negotiation, organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with office attendance on a minimum schedule.
