Description
Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Staff-level Guidance, Navigation & Controls (GNC) Engineer to support an established Missile Defense program. The role designs, develops, implements, verifies, and tests GNC algorithms for aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, and upper stages across powered and coast phases, orbital insertion, staging, and other flight scenarios. The engineer will make strategic technical decisions, collaborate with leadership and junior engineers, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Required qualifications include experience with GNC algorithms for missile applications, software and simulation tools, and an active Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. Desired qualifications include GNC lead experience, control theory and physical modeling, missile simulation, weapon-system modeling, hardware experience, and project leadership.
