Description
The Press Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining offset printing presses. The role includes make-ready tasks such as hanging plates, installing cylinders, checking plates and cylinders, preparing blankets, adjusting tension and register, making color and press adjustments, cleaning and lubricating equipment, performing minor repairs, and carrying out manufacturer-recommended maintenance. The position requires knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, safety requirements, job specifications, press capabilities, packing pressure, and micrometer use for plate alignment. The stated pay range is $20.10–$27.35 per hour, with medical, dental, and vision coverage and other benefits.
