Description
The Hadoop Platform Engineer supports NextGen Platforms built around Big Data Technologies in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role manages Hadoop and Data Science platform operations across multiple environments, including upgrades, bug fixes, deployments, monitoring, disaster recovery, incident and capacity management, and integration with external applications. It requires experience with Cloudera Hadoop, Jupyter Notebook, Openshift, Docker, YARN, and related Big Data and DevOps technologies, along with Unix/Linux, database, Java, Python, Perl, shell scripting, and infrastructure knowledge. The engineer will also coordinate with client partners and vendors and work directly for Artech on W2.
