Description
Amazon’s Material Handling Engineering team is hiring a Hardware Development Engineer to define, design, validate, and deliver mechanical, electrical, and control solutions for next-generation material handling equipment. The role involves translating business needs into technical requirements, collaborating with cross-functional and OEM partners, leading design-for-manufacturing and assembly processes, evaluating hardware solutions, building and testing prototypes, and managing risk. Candidates need at least six years of mechanical engineering or equivalent experience, prototyping and implementation experience, and familiarity with SolidWorks simulation or Ansys finite element analysis; experience with conveyance systems, robotics, controls, or automated equipment is preferred. The position is available in multiple United States locations with base salaries ranging from $111,500 to $160,000 annually.
