Description
AWS is hiring a Hardware Development Power Engineer for its Rack Power team in Seattle, Washington. The role owns the end-to-end development cycle for power systems, including battery management systems, power supplies, AC/DC and DC/AC converters, automatic transfer switches, and BMC controllers. Responsibilities include design, debugging, validation, hardware/software integration testing, firmware regression, test automation, board-level testing, functional verification, and proposing design improvements. The position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or experience in low-power design techniques, experience with large-scale power systems, and familiarity with lab-based and iterative prototype testing; knowledge of switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers is preferred. The base salary is 136,000–184,000 USD annually, with health, dental, vision, and other benefits.
