Samtec is hiring a Senior Hardware Engineer in Vista, California to design, analyze, and develop high-speed fiber-optic transceivers and supporting hardware. The role covers optoelectronics, high-speed circuits, system-level design, power and RF signal integrity, optical communication standards, testing, debugging, and characterization. Candidates need at least 15 years of hardware design, fiber-optic communication, and related experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and a record of technical leadership and independent problem solving; an MS or Ph.D. is preferred.
