Description
The Component Engineer - Strategic Sourcing Engineering owns the technical qualification and supply-risk management of electrical, electromechanical, and optoelectronic components across RL hardware products. The role reviews and approves components, executes second- and multi-sourcing activities, determines component criticality, manages new-part requests and qualified MPNs, tracks ECNs and PCNs, performs up-screening and failure analysis, and partners with sourcing, cost, and contract-manufacturer teams to maintain BOM integrity from NPI through sustaining.
