Microsoft is hiring a Hardware Engineering Intern to support end-to-end hardware quality engineering for large-scale AI and GPU-based data center fleets. The role focuses on early failure detection, root cause analysis, hardware reliability, testing, diagnostics, telemetry, and operational quality enablement. Interns will work with data center operations, firmware, platform engineering, diagnostics, and vendor teams, and may develop hardware designs, evaluate components and materials, create test plans, and analyze hardware telemetry. The internship begins 1 February 2027 and spans six months, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
