Description

Lockheed Martin is hiring an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager for Design Services (Checking) to lead approximately ten Design Checkers and Liaison Engineers. The role manages staffing, talent development, design-integrity standards, engineering-change releases, configuration control, and the migration to a Model-Based Enterprise using MBD, semantic PMI/GD&T, and PLM tools. It requires engineering-management experience, a mechanical-engineering degree or equivalent, CAD and PLM proficiency, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. The full-time salary range is $129,000 to $239,600, with medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Engineering management or engineering team-lead experience, including workload/task planning, employee development and mentoring, and/or performance feedback.
Experience creating, reviewing, or checking engineering drawings, models, parts lists, and specifications.
Knowledge of the engineering change process and Configuration Management principles.
Commitment to Model-Based Definition or Model-Based Enterprise adoption, or equivalent digital-transformation experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior people-management experience leading engineers, checkers, or a multidisciplinary technical team.
Experience as a Design Checker, Liaison/Workflow Coordinator, or Configuration/Data Management professional.
Hands-on experience leading or supporting an MBD/MBE or legacy-drawing up-conversion effort.
Experience improving engineering release cycle time.
Familiarity with Windchill workflow administration, ModelCheck, and release performance dashboards or analytics.
Knowledge of DoD contract requirements and MIL-STD documentation.
Familiarity with additional PLM/CAD ecosystems supporting cross-site and cross-BA collaboration.
Experience developing training, competency models, or certification pathways for a technical workforce.
Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and whole-systems thinking; ability to influence across multi-functional teams without direct authority.
Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a one-team mindset.
