Description
Amazon Robotics is hiring a Hardware Functional Safety Engineer to design safety-relevant controls for robotics systems and industrial equipment. The role covers hazard and risk assessments, safety requirements and architectural design, SIL and performance-level analysis, safe-rated sensing and perception, control-circuit failure analysis, and compliance with machinery and functional-safety standards. Candidates need a BS in electrical engineering or equivalent, at least four years of safety-standards implementation experience, and four years of experience with complex electromechanical systems. The position reports to the Sr Manager of Functional Safety and is based in North Reading or Westboro, Massachusetts, with a base salary of $117,300 to $160,000 annually.
