Google is hiring a Hardware Operations Manager to lead Data Center Technicians and manage the physical infrastructure supporting search technology. The role oversees server hardware, Linux clusters, routers, and switches; leads security, maintenance, networking, and project initiatives; analyzes operational trends; escalates systemic issues; and collaborates with program and data center operations teams. The position requires a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of computing infrastructure or related experience, and 5 years managing technical, vendor, contract, or delivery teams. Compensation is $138,000–$200,000 USD plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
