Description
MatX is hiring a Diagnostic Engineer for its Hardware System team to own the end-to-end diagnostics test suite for accelerator boards and rack-scale AI data center products. The role develops diagnostic tools for AI chips, PCIe, HBM, power, and thermal systems; defines manufacturing test coverage; supports JDM/ODM partners through NPI and production; troubleshoots manufacturing escapes and field failures; and maintains CI/CD infrastructure and quality metrics. The position requires 7+ years of systems diagnostics, hardware validation, or manufacturing test experience, along with Python and C/C++ expertise and knowledge of PCIe, memory hierarchies, power management, and I/O. Compensation ranges from $160,000 to $600,000 plus equity depending on career level, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
