Lightmatter is hiring a Hardware Systems Technical Lead to provide technical leadership for its Hardware Systems organization and develop silicon photonics-based AI accelerators and interconnect products. The role owns hardware systems from concept through production, defines and reviews PCBAs, leads integration and verification, coordinates with firmware, photonics, packaging, and software teams, maintains engineering documentation, contributes to the technology roadmap, and mentors engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, at least 12 years of relevant industry experience, and expertise in VRMs, high-speed SerDes, and interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, SPI/QSPI, I3C, I2C, and JTAG. The role offers a base salary of $217,000–$256,000 USD, equity, and a flexible hybrid workplace model.
