Description
SpaceX is hiring a Harness Design Engineer (Starshield) to own satellite avionics interconnection systems from early vehicle electrical connectivity through component selection, qualification, production, launch, and in-orbit operations. The role involves system architecture, electrical schematics, 3D NX harness design, physical layout, cross-disciplinary trades, thermal, load, and vibration testing, manufacturing and supply-chain delivery, and reliability trade studies. A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or another engineering discipline and experience with electro-mechanical wire harness design or manufacturing are required; the position offers Level 1 or Level 2 base salary, medical, vision, and dental coverage, retirement and disability benefits, paid leave, and potential long-term incentives.
