The role validates hazardous-material compliance, coordinates legal and procurement reporting, approves permits, audits logistics facilities, prepares risk assessments, develops standard operating procedures, and mentors subordinate staff. Senior-level applicants need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 10+ years of position-relevant experience, and professional-level HAZMAT safety or compliance certification; midlevel applicants need a bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience, and foundational HAZMAT or environmental-compliance certification. An active Secret clearance and the ability to remain stationary 50% of the time are required.
