Description
The Armstrong County Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Coordinator coordinates emergency response, recovery, and remediation for hazardous materials incidents; supports public safety and HazMat training; maintains response equipment; participates in regional emergency teams and meetings; develops off-site response plans; implements SARA Title III and Act 1990-165 requirements; and manages hazardous materials grants. The role requires a Hazardous Materials Operations certificate, a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, physical ability to handle up to 50 pounds, and at least two years of emergency planning or operations experience or equivalent training and instructional experience. It is a full-time position from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, with on-call availability, and includes healthcare, dental, vision, disability, pension, vacation, sick days, and paid holidays.
