Description
Western Digital is hiring an HDD Functional Integration Test Engineer to execute firmware validation and develop test automation for hard disk drives. The role involves setting up and maintaining FIT test systems, creating and running firmware test plans, performing performance, regression, error-handling, stress, update, SMART, DST, and power-management tests, analyzing diagnostic logs, and building T-REX/Python automation tools. Candidates need an engineering degree or equivalent, with fresh graduates encouraged and 1–2 years of relevant experience advantageous; knowledge of hardware, operating systems, programming, storage interfaces, and AI tools is preferred.
