Description
The HDD Operator operates horizontal directional drilling rigs and related equipment for utility and pipe-installation projects. The role includes controlling bore paths, using DGI Trac/Falcon locating systems and 752-series/TK/TKD electronics, performing equipment inspections and maintenance, managing drilling fluids and materials, documenting work and safety activities, and coordinating with locators, foremen, project managers, and stakeholders. It requires at least two years of HDD experience, a high school diploma, a valid insurable driver’s license with CDL A and tanker endorsement, physical ability to shovel and lift 50–75 pounds, and willingness to travel.
