Description

Vapi is hiring its first Head of Data to build the company’s data function from scratch and establish a single source of truth for finance, GTM, product, and engineering. The role owns core metrics, the canonical data model, dashboards, business reviews, OKRs, the modern data stack, voice-API telemetry, AI/LLM observability, data governance, and the hiring and management of data engineers and analysts. It reports to the CFO and requires 10+ years of data, analytics, or data engineering experience, including leading a data function at a high-growth technology company.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of data, analytics, or data engineering experience, including building or leading a data function at a high-growth technology company
Experience shipping and sustaining a company-wide single source of truth
Experience building pipelines handling billions of event-driven rows
Experience with AI or ML data infrastructure, including feature stores, model evaluation pipelines, or LLM observability
Preferred Qualifications: Python comfort
First or founding data leader at a Series A through C company
Background at a developer-facing platform, API business, or usage-based SaaS company
Familiarity with usage-based billing data models and revenue metering systems
Hands-on HIPAA or GDPR compliance in an analytics context
Built data products for external customers
