Description
Skydio is hiring a Head of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the development and scale-up of manufacturing systems for high-volume small unmanned aircraft production. The role owns the manufacturing engineering organization, factory automation, controls engineering, equipment development, manufacturing systems architecture, process qualification, and production-readiness activities. The leader will build and manage a multidisciplinary team, establish manufacturing standards and automation capabilities, partner with design, operations, quality, supply chain, test, and product teams, and use manufacturing data to improve yield, reliability, and process control. The position requires 12+ years of relevant manufacturing or automation engineering experience, 5+ years leading manufacturing systems organizations, a bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, and the ability to recruit and lead technical teams.
