Description
The Head Start Assistant Teacher supports a classroom of 3- to 5-year-old children by collaborating with the teacher, families, and other staff to implement a child-centered curriculum, assess and document child progress, support individualized learning plans, maintain classroom routines, supervise activities and field trips, and coordinate with families and service providers. The role requires a CDA credential or equivalent state certificate, enrollment in a relevant degree or CDA program, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
