Capital Area Head Start is hiring full-time Behavior Guidance Specialists to develop and implement behavioral interventions, provide classroom support based on child behavior observations, and educate families and colleagues about social-emotional development and positive classroom guidance. The role is salaried at $21.05 per hour, with possible increases based on education and experience, and is available in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry counties. Applicants need an associate’s degree or 60 credits toward a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least one year of relevant preschool teaching or classroom experience, expertise managing challenging behaviors, and successful completion of required clearances.
