Description

This position is for a Head Start Teacher Aide/Substitute at Grand Street Settlement Early Childhood classrooms. The role involves assisting with the supervision of children aged 0-5, implementing classroom activities, supporting other classroom staff, and maintaining a safe and healthy classroom environment. The aide will also collaborate on lesson plans, assess children's development, foster family partnerships, and maintain records.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalence, some college credits preferred
Required Previous Experiences: At least one year experience working with children ages 0-5 and families
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work with children and families with special developmental, social or cultural needs
Ability to maintain written records and manage time to ensure the completion of assigned work
Ability to interpret documents such as safety regulations, policies and procedures
Ability to foster and maintain positive, professional relationships with participating families
Basic computer literacy in email, Microsoft Office
Ability to lift 35 pounds
