Description
The Head Start Teacher plans and monitors classroom activities, develops curriculum and lesson plans, assesses and documents children’s development, supports health screenings and referrals, maintains classroom and facility conditions, conducts home visits, involves parents, prepares reports, and coordinates with staff and community agencies. The role also includes assisting with child transportation, field trips, and other agency activities. It requires an AA degree or related early childhood education credentials, classroom supervision, knowledge of early childhood development, a current driver’s license, and successful background and medical screenings.
