Description
The Head-End Infrastructure Engineer works with engineering teams to implement new technologies, design and maintain structured wiring, manage preventive maintenance and equipment replacement schedules, monitor IPTV and linear-channel quality, analyze monitoring-system data, and support head-end infrastructure including satellite receivers, encoders, transcoders, VOD catchers, AD insertion, middleware, and servers. The role also coordinates with the NOC and other engineering teams, installs and configures equipment, and requires an associate’s degree or equivalent, at least three years of related telecommunications or RF/satellite experience, and knowledge of head-end systems, IPTV, Ethernet, fiber, coax, power, and HVAC systems.
