Description

Wider Circle is hiring a fully remote Data Engineer to build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines, modernize legacy workflows, support analytics and machine learning use cases, and integrate lightweight AI/LLM utilities. The role focuses on Python, SQL, Amazon Redshift, AWS, APIs, data quality, observability, and collaboration with analytics and data science teams. Candidates should have 3–6 years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience, strong Python and SQL skills, AWS experience, and familiarity with APIs and Git. The expected base salary is $130,000–$160,000 per year, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3–6 years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience
Hands-on AWS experience with S3, IAM, and Redshift
Experience using APIs for data ingestion and system integration
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Preferred Qualifications: Experience replacing cron with modern orchestration tools such as Airflow
Experience with Salesforce API integrations
Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Sheets APIs
Exposure to LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic
Experience working with healthcare data, including claims, eligibility, CDAs, and HRAs
Experience partnering with data scientists to productionalize models
Experience with Matillion, Mulesoft, or similar tools
