Description

Essel is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator who will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, and loaders. The operator will perform tasks like site preparation, excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling for construction, excavation, and landfill gas collection projects. They will also inspect equipment, perform preventative maintenance, follow safety protocols, collaborate with crew members, and assist with landfill gas collection.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 7 years experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related field
Preferred Qualifications: experience in landfill projects
Ability to operate multiple types of equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA regulations.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
