GFL Environmental is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate excavators, front-loaders, balers, Bobcats, and bulldozers in an outdoor, 100% field-based waste-processing environment. The role involves maneuvering and loading waste materials, inspecting and maintaining equipment, coordinating with crews, following safety and regulatory requirements, and maintaining the facility grounds. A valid forklift certification is required, while prior heavy-machinery experience, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to obtain Transfer Station or Landfill Operations certification are preferred or relevant. The position requires physical activity, outdoor work in varied weather, and valid work authorization; visa sponsorship is not provided.
