Description
Skillforce is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for civil and environmental excavation work in Concord, California. The role operates excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers; performs mass excavation, fine grading, trench shoring, layout support, equipment loading, and daily inspections; and coordinates with laborers, spotters, and foremen. The schedule is Monday through Friday, averaging 45 to 50 hours per week, with pay of $45 to $55 per hour. Candidates need at least five years of equipment operating experience in civil or environmental work, strong excavator skills, the ability to read grading stakes and civil plans, trench safety experience, and strong communication skills. HAZWOPER and OSHA 10 or 30 certifications are preferred or available, and benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and a referral program.
