Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator operates and maintains a wide range of construction and roadwork equipment, including bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, motor graders, lowboys, dump trucks, and asphalt-laying equipment. The role also includes installing drainage systems, patching roads, assisting with bridge reconstruction, performing daily equipment checks, and completing preventative maintenance. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED equivalent, relevant facility, landscaping, maintenance, or construction experience, basic math and communication skills, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and a valid Class A commercial driver’s license with air brakes. The schedule is Monday through Friday for eight hours per day, with possible emergency on-call work, and the listed salary is $20.19 per hour.
