Harnett County is hiring a Landfill and Transfer Station Operations Worker to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for solid waste facilities. The role includes operating and maintaining landfill and transfer-station equipment, maintaining grounds and landscaping, screening incoming waste, loading and tarping trailers, hauling dirt, collecting fees, operating a switcher truck, and assisting with compliance records and site cleaning. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of related experience, a valid North Carolina driver's license, a valid NC commercial driver's license, and completion of Solid Waste Screening and SWANA Landfill Operations training. The hiring salary is $44,604.00.
