Louisiana Cat is hiring a Heavy Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on Caterpillar heavy equipment at the Lake Charles, Louisiana branch or surrounding customer locations. The role covers engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, power generation, and power trains, including engine component removal and installation, repair cost analysis, and work-order documentation. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, at least five years of diesel-mechanic experience, extensive diesel-engine knowledge, diagnostic-tool proficiency, and required tool inventory. The position offers flexible rotational shifts, housing for out-of-state candidates living more than 100 miles from the branch, and a yearly potential range of $60,000 to $120,000, including typical overtime.
