Description

The Herdsperson at Smithfield assists other Herd Technicians in routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure the welfare of animals. This involves feeding, watering, vaccinating, and performing basic veterinary procedures, as well as maintaining farm sanitation and assisting with animal movement. The role also includes processing piglets, treating sick animals, and updating production records. Employees may operate various farm equipment and undergo training for advanced Herd Technician designations.

Additional Information
