Description
Smithfield is hiring a Herdsperson to provide routine care for pigs and support general farm operations. The role includes feeding, watering, vaccinating, processing piglets, treating sick animals, moving animals, sanitation, recordkeeping, equipment and facility maintenance, and compliance with animal welfare, environmental, safety, and biosecurity procedures. It requires physical labor, teamwork, schedule flexibility including weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call emergencies, and the ability to work around livestock, medications, manure, dust, odors, and noise. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour.
