Smithfield is hiring a Herdsperson to assist with routine animal care and general farm tasks at a designated work site, focusing on animal welfare, feeding, watering, vaccination, piglet processing, sanitation, animal movement, recordkeeping, and basic facility/equipment maintenance. The role is physically demanding, requires teamwork and flexibility, and includes a 48-hour work week with weekend, evening, holiday, and emergency on-call coverage. Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour and can rise to $18.00 per hour upon certification, with a quarterly bonus and relocation package available.
