Description
The University of Alabama is hiring a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track Instructor in Fashion Design for its Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design department. The role combines undergraduate fashion design teaching with operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and readiness support for apparel design and production laboratories and industrial equipment. Candidates must have an MFA or MS in a relevant design field, college-level fashion design teaching experience, professional apparel industry experience, and demonstrated expertise in garment construction, patternmaking, fitting, production, and industrial sewing-machine maintenance. The position is on-campus in Alabama, with applications reviewed beginning October 15, 2026 and closing December 1, 2026, with an expected start date of January 4, 2027.
