Description
SLB is seeking a High Performance Computing (HPC) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize algorithms for large-scale discrete optimization problems, including scheduling, logistics, resource allocation, object placement, bin packing, and inversion. The role combines operations research, linear and quadratic programming, heuristic and metaheuristic methods, high-performance and distributed computing, and quantum computing technologies. The engineer will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, benchmark optimization solvers and pipelines, and integrate solutions into operational workflows. An advanced degree and at least three years of experience are preferred, along with expertise in optimization solvers, programming languages, and quantum computing platforms.
